Our Story
The Marion Hill Grill has always been about family. In 1965 George Shewak retired from Pepsi Cola, McKees Rocks and he and his wife Hilda, who worked in the cafeteria at J & L Steel, Aliquippa, followed their dream of one day owning a bar and restaurant by purchasing the Marion Hill Grill. George and Hilda were living their dream, working side by side with each other and set out to make "The Grill" a place where you would always feel welcomed.
Sadly, Hilda passed away in March 1974. George heartbroken, but determined to go on keeping their dream alive, partnered with their daughter Georgene to keep the spirit of Hilda alive by continuing to make the Marion Hill Grill a place where friends can gather to tell a story, share a laugh, and even shed a tear or two, because isn't that what a family does?
Over 60 years later, the legacy of George, Hilda, and Georgene lives on through their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who work side by side with each other to make sure that the Marion Hill Grill is a place where you feel at home-because the Marion Hill Grill is rooted in family and will be for generations to come.
Enjoy and welcome to the family!
